Dr. Austin Mitchell is a dedicated, board-certified dermatologist who previously owned and operated Brentwood Skin Clinic in Nashville, TN. With nearly two decades of experience in dermatology, Dr. Mitchell first had the pleasure of working alongside his father before establishing his own successful practice. Now, he is excited to bring his expertise to Cumberland Skin Surgery and Dermatology, continuing his commitment to exceptional patient care.

With nearly two decades of experience in dermatology, Dr. Mitchell first had the pleasure of working alongside his father before establishing his own successful practice. Dr. Mitchell had the chance to travel a lot as a child and grew up predominately in Memphis, TN, Alaska, Spain, and North Carolina before he eventually settled down for good in Nashville, TN. He received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee, Memphis and completed his residency at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York City.
When he's not in the office helping his patients reach their skin care goals, he enjoys spending time outdoors running, biking, and swimming. He also loves to read. Even more than that, however, he enjoys spending time with his wife of almost 30 years and their three children.
Dr. Mitchell values his patients and wants his neighbors to feel comfortable visiting his office, which is why he is always working to improve his Spanish skills so he can provide better service to surrounding Spanish-speaking communities.
