at Cumberland Skin Surgery and Dermatology

The physicians at Cumberland Skin Surgery and Dermatology are board-certified dermatologists. This means that they have completed a 3-year residency in Dermatology, focused only on skin, hair and nails, and passed a rigorous two-part test administered by the American Board of Dermatology.

Julie Countess, MD

Dr. Julie Countess grew up in Hendersonville, TN, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Dayton. She earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee, where she was elected to the AOA National Honor Society. Following medical school, she completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Florida. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Her interests include Mohs Micrographic Surgery, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and general dermatology.

Joey Price, MD

Dr. Joey Price is also a Tennessee native, growing up in Union City, Tennessee. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She earned her medical degree at the University of Tennessee, where she was elected to the AOA National Honor Society. Following medical school, she completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Florida. She is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. Her interests include Mohs Micrographic Surgery, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, cosmetic and general dermatology.

Barbara Wolff, PA-C

Barbara Wolff is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She obtained her bachelor's degree in Athletic Training from the University of Delaware and her master’s degree from Temple University. Barbara continued her graduate education at the University of New England in Maine, where she received a master’s degree in the Physician Assistants program. She has been a Physician Assistant in Dermatology since 2001 and is trained to diagnose most skin conditions and perform many in-office procedures. Barbara is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Tennessee Association of Physician Assistants.

Tancy Bridges, NP-C

Tancy Bridges is a board-certified family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Master of Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1999. She has practiced in Dermatology since 2001. She is trained in general and cosmetic dermatology and can see patients of all ages. Tancy is a Hendersonville, TN, native and attended Middle Tennessee State University prior to entering her graduate program at Vanderbilt. She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association and has served as Secretary and Vice President of the Dermatology Nurses Association. She has been published in many medical journals on a variety of dermatological topics. Tancy also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

Catherie Mead, PA-C

Catherine Mead, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in cosmetic dermatology.  Catherine graduated with honors from Stanford University and has been in the field of cosmetic dermatology since 2002. Her training in cosmetic procedures is extensive, and she provides expert advice to our patients regarding general skin care, products available through our office and anti-aging procedures that might benefit you at any age.  Catherine's passion is to help women and men look their best!  

Molly Boring, NP-C

Molly Boring is a board-certified family Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Master of Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 1999, she has practiced in Dermatology since graduation. She is trained in general and cosmetic dermatology and can see patients of all ages. Molly is a Tennessee native and attended University of Tennessee at Chattanooga prior to entering the graduate program at Vanderbilt. She is a member of the American Nurses Association, the Dermatology Nurses Association, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has been published in many medical journals on a variety of dermatological topics and given several lectures for dermatology nurses and nurse practitioner students. Molly also serves as an adjunct faculty member at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.

Abigail Bowen James, MSN, NP

Mrs. Abby James is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner. Abby is originally from Virginia but came to Nashville in 2000 to attend Vanderbilt University. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational development with a focus in Health Services. She stayed on at Vanderbilt to complete her Masters in Nursing in 2005, where she graduated summa cum laude in her class. Abby has worked in Dermatology for ten years prior to joining Cumberland Skin in May of 2016. She is an active member of Tennessee Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and the Dermatology Nurses Association. Abby is certified in administering Botox and dermal fillers, and treats a wide array of medical dermatology needs including acne, psoriasis, eczema, general skin care regimens, and hyperhidrosis. She also performs annual skin cancer screenings and performs biopsies and small skin cancer surgeries. 

Tammie Campanali Wampler, PA-C

Tammie Wampler is a board certified Physician Assistant. Tammie is originally from North Little Rock, Arkansas where she obtained her BA of Science, Biology Degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Tammie then came to Nashville in 1997 where she completed her Masters of Medicine at Trevecca Nazarene University where she graduated in 2001. Tammie has been working in dermatology for over 16 years before she joined Cumberland Skin. She is an active member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.  Tammie is certified in the administration of all neurotoxins and dermal fillers. She specializes in cosmetic laser, general dermatology, and small skin cancer surgeries. 

Christina Feser, DO

Dr. Christina Feser has been a resident of the Nashville, Tennessee area for the last 4 years. She is a native of Iowa where she earned her bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Iowa. She went on to earn her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medical and Biosciences, where she was elected to the PSA National Honor Society. After graduating from medical school she went on to complete her Dermatology residency at Michigan State University, Oakwood Shore Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermtology. Her interest include the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, cosmetic, and general dermatology.
